Terms of service
The agreement between you and Louben Shop when you use the app.
Who we are
Louben Shop is run by [to be confirmed], [to be confirmed]. You can contact us at [to be confirmed].
These terms apply whenever you use Louben Shop, on the web, as an installed app, through the browser extension or through the Claude connector.
Your account and household
You need an account to use Louben Shop. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Two-step sign-in is available in Account settings and we recommend it.
A household is shared by its members. The owner can invite people, change their roles and delete the household. Admins can change settings and members. Members can plan, choose recipes, rate meals and tick off lists.
What Louben Shop does, and does not do
Louben Shop helps you plan meals, estimates nutrition and costs, builds a shopping list in whole packs, compares supermarket prices and can add items to your supermarket basket through the browser extension.
Prices come from supermarket websites and can be out of date or wrong; each price shows its age, and you always see the final price on the supermarket site before you pay. Louben Shop never books delivery slots, never opens checkout or payment pages and never stores your supermarket password. You complete every order yourself.
Nutrition, allergen and cost figures are estimates (see the food information notice). They are not medical or dietary advice.
Plans, payment and cancelling
Some features are part of paid plans. Before you subscribe you are shown the price including VAT, how often it renews, how to cancel and, for a free trial, the date it ends. No charges are added later.
We remind you by email before a free trial turns into a paid subscription and before renewals. You can cancel at any time in Account > Billing in two clicks, without contacting anyone. Cancelling stops future payments; you keep paid features until the end of the period you have paid for.
You have a 14-day cooling-off period after your first payment, and again after a free trial converts to a paid subscription. If you cancel in that time you are refunded, less a proportionate amount for the days you have used. When you subscribe, you ask for the service to start straight away and acknowledge this.
Recipes and content
Recipes you import stay credited to their source, with a link to the original, and are kept for your household’s own use. Do not import recipes you do not have the right to use, and do not use Louben Shop to republish other people’s content.
Recipes written by AI are generated for your household and checked in code against your dietary rules before they are saved, but they can still contain mistakes. Use your judgement, particularly about allergens and cooking temperatures.
You keep ownership of anything you add, such as your own recipes and photos. You give us permission to store and process it to run the service for you.
Fair use
Please follow the acceptable use policy. We may suspend or close an account that breaks it or puts the service or other people at risk, and will tell you why unless the law stops us.
Our responsibility to you
We provide Louben Shop with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, for supermarket prices, stock or substitutions, or for business losses (Louben Shop is for household use).
Ending the agreement
You can delete your account at any time in Account > Your data, and export your data first. We can end the service with reasonable notice; if you have paid in advance, we refund the unused part.
Changes and the law that applies
We may update these terms; we will tell you about important changes before they take effect.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
